Children usually start nursery in the term after their third birthday and are then entitled to 15 hours of free education per week. We do not charge top-up fees.
Most children attend for 2½ days a week in one of the following classes:
Green Rockets: Monday 8.55am – 2.55pm, Tuesday 8.55am – 2.55pm, Wednesday 8.55am – 11.55am
Blue Rockets: Wednesday 12.30pm – 3.30pm, Thursday 8.55am – 2.55pm, Friday 8.55am –2.55pm
We also have a full-time class. These places are mainly occupied by children eligible for a 30-hour place, or are partly funded by the parents.
Yellow Rockets: Monday – Friday: 9.05am – 3.05pm
We also offer places to children in the term after their second birthday. As this is only a small group, places are limited. These places are either fee-paying or are funded through the Free Early Education for Two-year-olds scheme (FEET). Please click here for more information about FEET-funding and other forms of government funding.
Little Stars: Monday - Friday: 9am - 12noon.
|We accept some children for government-funded 30-hour places: Monday - Friday 9.05am - 3.05pm. To find out if you are eligible, please click here for the government website, and let us know if you may be eligible when applying for a nursery place here. See below for our Wharf Leaflet about 30-hour places.|
Children staying all day are given a cooked lunch. The cost for lunch is currently £2.70 per day.
